TORONTO, Jan. 9, 2017 /CNW/ - Mainstreet Health Investments Inc. (TSX:HLP.U) (the "Company") announces that Mr. Scott White has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Prior to his appointment, Mr. White served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall strategy.

Before serving in his current role with the Company, Mr. White was executive vice president of investments at Mainstreet Property Group ("Mainstreet") and an executive vice president with HealthLease Properties Real Estate Investment Trust ("HealthLease"). Prior to joining Mainstreet and HealthLease, Mr. White spent over 15 years on Wall Street. Mr. White served as a senior vice president in the private funds group of Brookfield Asset Management Inc. His career experience also includes a tenure as director and head of deal management at Citigroup's alternatives distribution group.
Before focusing his career on alternative assets, Mr. White was part of the healthcare group at Citi's Investment Bank, working with clients in the healthcare sector on M&A and capital raising assignments. He began his career in public accounting as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. White earned a bachelor's degree with highest honors in political science and journalism from Rutgers University. He received his master's in business administration from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a certified public accountant, is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey, and holds securities industry FINRA licenses Series 7, 24 and 63.
